ACC Network then and now!

When Billy Packer and Jim Thacker were the voice of the ACC their despicable attitude towards our Miami Hurricanes was insulting to say the least. Primarily they ignored us which made me wonder why the ACC wanted us so bad. The ACC network was impossible to watch...and then they died and then Taylor Tannebaum became the voice of the ACC joined by Tre Boston and the change is making me wonder why we would want to go where we would be despised again.

You think the other "good ole boys’ network" will accept us with welcome. We were the ugly grandchild and now are like Cinderella. We are in position to dominate the ACC like Clemson used too and ACC network is in love with us now...especially Tre plus the forum they run now that sadly includes Jimbo. (I think Jimbo is there as comedy relief). The forum they've started is quite like Gameday and it seems every other word is glowing reports about the Canes. Let's enjoy the adulation, I'd rather be top dog in the ACC then low life ugly step child in the BIG or SEC.

Forgot to mention Mark Richt, bless his heart is hanging in there and certainly supports his alma mater. Mark oozes CLASS!
 
The Miami the ACC is now getting, is the Miami the ACC was expected all along. Miami was bad for decades, the ACC, tbh, should have clowned us more, you can't blame them there was nothing really good to say.

Bimbo is such a down grade from Coach Richt, even as coach progressed. The only thing comical about Jimbo is what's going on with his hair.

Do you mean Mark Packer and Wes Durham? They started on the ACCN. Both are gone now

Thanks, I really screwed up on that one..AI gave me those wrong K want a searcchnames via CHATGPT. Mark Packer and Wes Durham are alive. Pretty stupid mistake on my part..Both are alive! The 2 i mistakenly that I mentioned did lots of ACC basketball. Billy Packer and Jim Thacker were the dynamic duo of college basketball broadcasting in the 1970s into the 1980s.

Thats the way it works unfortunately
No one invests heavily in the underdog story, unless theyre gambling.. and lets face it...thats who we were.
 
Of course the ACC is kissing our *** because they have to. They know the SEC and the B10 aren't done with adding teams and FSU and Clemson ejaculated in their pants and now are bottom dwellers.

Wes Durham is still there, just not in regular daily programming anymore. He did half hour specials over the summer with the ACC QBs. I watched the Mensah one.

Packer retired.

Packer and Durham had a morning show from Packers basement on ACCN shortly after the ACCN became a network. Lasted about 1-1/2- 2 years and they split up. Durham now does play by play for 2nd-3rd tier ACCN football and basketball games.

yes And I believe he does either basketball or baseball for the network. I meant he doesn't anchor the daily show.

IMO they still benefited greatly because even when Miami was down we still brought eyeballs and recognition.
