I'm having some incredibly depressing deja va writing this but we all know the situation right now, so let's just take it head-on and deal with it.

I saw this from Brad Crawford a few minutes ago, and I hadn't seen it laid out like this, so if I missed it and it's in another thread, we can let this one die but I thought this was a very well laid out way to understand what needs to happen. As we all know, this ain't great, but ****, look at what happened last weekend, literally anything can happen in this conference (except us winning it, apparently)

But, according to Mr. Crawford FOUR OF THESE FIVE THINGS NEED TO HAPPEN IN ORDER FOR US TO MAKE THE ACCCG:

  1. Georgia Tech loses to Boston College OR Pitt
  2. UVA loses to Duke OR Virginia Tech
  3. SMU loses to Louisville AND Cal
  4. Duke loses to UVA, Wake, OR North Carolina
  5. Louisville loses to Clemson OR SMU
If someone wants to fact check this, go nuts. Honestly, the only one that looks really sketchy is #3. But again, we need 4 of these to happen.

Starting with this weekend, here's what we got:

Friday night -- Clemson @ Louisville -- Go Tigers, if Clemson wins, #5 is unlocked for the good guys

Sat 3:30 GT @ Boston College -- Go Eagles, but good luck, they're 16.5 point dogs

3:30 UVA @ Duke -- Someone's going to win this game, I think. So we're either clearing #2 or #4 here. I think we want Duke to win, because if not, then all UVA will have left is VT, and they'll be a big favorite. So, go fighting Mannies.

So, we need 4 of the 5. We know we're getting 1 of them with Duke vs UVA. Would be really nice for Clemson to knock off Louisville to get 2 of the 4 down this weekend with 2 more weekends of potential chaos to go.

Sad ****, but here we are. Go Tiguhs, Eagles, and Dookies.

I posted this in another thread, it is a combo of games we need for CFP advancement, as well as ACC-CG. Depending on a few games, we might not need to hit them all.

But there are 6 games that could cement us in the CFP, and 6 games that could put us in the ACC-CG:

Simplified for both CFP and ACC-CG

Miami wins out.

Week 12 - Next week:
--AL to beat OK - CFP
--GA to beat TX - CFP
--Pitt to beat ND - CFP
----------

--Clemson to beat Louisville - ACC-CG

Week 13 - Following week:
--Pitt to beat GT - CFP
--Cincy to beat BYU - CFP
----------

--Louisville to beat SMU - ACC-CG
--UNC to beat Duke - ACC-CG

Week 14 - Final week:
--TN to beat Vandy - CFP
----------

--VaTech to beat UVA - ACC-CG
--Cal to beat SMU - ACC-CG
--Wake to beat Duke - ACC-CG

Miami will be ranked #9 (at least) in the CFP at that point, because beating a ranked Pitt team should vault Miami over Utah and its **** schedule. Plus, Texas Tech likely gets the one Big 12 spot over BYU anyhow, especially by winning the Big 12 championship game. USF gets the "G5 spot".

The problem is that I just don't see a world where Pitt beats both GT and ND, but I hope I'm wrong. SMU losing twice is another difficult one

Yeah, I don't think #3 is happening (SMU losing to both Louisville and Cal), so if not, GT has to lose to either Pitt or BC.
Pitt beating GTech is way more important than Pitt beating ND. It’s honestly not even close imo. I really don’t get why people honestly think weakening the ND win strengthens our CFP at large bid chances. That is THE WIN that will put us into the CFP as an at large. We do NOT want that win to be devalued. If Pitt beats GTech and we beat Pitt that WILL be another top 25 win. I would heavily bet on the committee putting us ahead of ND by the end of the year if we both win out

SMU doesn’t have to lose to Cal, though it’d be helpful.

We definitely want Wake to beat Duke, and VTech to beat UVA to end the year. Also Clemson to beat Louisville

Laying it out to where we only need 4 and looking at everyone’s remaining games and how unpredictable the ACC has been it’s not crazy. I mean this time last year Clemson was mathematically out and found themselves playing in the ACC ship

It’s a tall mountain right there, but I truly believe if we win out, we will get an at large bid.

I guess I’ll do a thread on our path to the playoff too since we’re all sniffing glue

I have seen all the scenario talk, I hadn’t seen it laid out clearly like this. So I decided to post it.

Regardless tho, I appreciate you being hilarious. I read your post to the writers I’m doing blow with from the Kill Tony show and they’re on the floor. They wanna meet you ASAP. DM me your booking agent’s info, bro!
