Deerfield Beach (Fla.) cornerback Aaron Robinson landed an offer from the Florida Gators back in June during their 7-on-7 camp. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect committed to the Gators that same night.

Fast forward seven months, and Robinson has become a very hot commodity with Alabama, Miami, and USC offering while Georgia shows strong interest. He now plans to take several visits before National Signing Day.

“I’ll be taking an Alabama, Georgia, and a Miami visit, and Florida of course. I’ll be at Miami this weekend, Alabama the 29th and I’ll be at Georgia the 22nd. Florida, I’m still trying to set that up.

“I’m just looking for a good atmosphere. I’m looking for me to be comfortable where I’m going to be at these next few years. Also, build relationships and see where I can come in and make an impact.”

Where does Robinson’s pledge to Florida stand with these other trips planned?

“Right now, I’m open. Everything is still open. I’m still committed though… I’d give it 70-75 [percent].”

Friday, news broke that Florida fired defensive backs coach Kirk Callahan, the person who originally offered Robinson.

“That definitely sucks because I built a strong relationship between me and Coach Callahan,” Robinson stated. “Me finding that news out sucks a lot.”

The good news for Florida is area recruiter Kerry Dixon has been active in Robinson’s recruitment for a while.

“It’s a lot of communication, more like every day,” Robinson said of Florida. “It was Dixon and Callahan, but Dixon now.

“They need me. They’re telling me they need a cornerback like me and compete for a starting spot as a true freshman. Just come in and show my skills they’ve seen on film and get better.”

Alabama is also pushing for Robinson these final few weeks before signing day. Area recruiter Mario Cristobal visited with Robinson this week.

“I’ve been hearing a lot of great things about them,” Robinson said of the Crimson Tide. “It’s a powerhouse school. They’re telling me I can come in and make an impact immediately. It’s more of a need than a want, and I feel like I can go up there.”

Even though Robinson is visiting Miami on Saturday, it does not appear the Hurricanes are in his recruitment much.

“They are just telling me to come check it out, check the new coaching staff out, see where things are heading and see how things have changed these last couple of weeks. I’m not really interested in Miami, but I’ll go and take the visit.”

The 247Sports Composite, an industry generated average, currently ranks Robinson as the No. 82 cornerback in the 2016 class

Lol that's funny **** sounds as if it's just a curtiosy visit... anyways fug him!!

Bama telling him they need him might be the biggest heap of bull**** in the article. Kid isn't even going to qualify. Who cares if he isn't interested in us?

Not surprised to be honest. When he got offered by Miami a few weeks ago when Richt got here. Robinson said it didn't effect him at all.

Anything can happen on a visit.....could have a complete change of heart. But I'm not feeling that attitude

You think every kid that visits every school are interested in that school? Not! Recruiting is like dating, if you can get her to come over to your place you have a better chance of getting the pus.

These kids are afraid to try & build something new. Anybody could commit to Bama. These kids with these big offe sheets that are choosing us you know are special. They want to be the ones who brought the U back. That takes guts & heart.
