MR won 9 games the 1st season. 10 games last season. If he can pull off 11 games this season, whether it requires a bowl game to get there or not, then this will have been a successful season.

Furthermore...

If we go 11-1, lose to Clemp'sson, and lose our bowl game (unlikely this last one), that would kind of suck, but MR and staff would have 11 wins tucked under their arms.

If we go 11-1, beat Clemp'sson and are locked out of the playoffs - at worse, we'll be 12-2 after the bowl game and that is an undeniable set up for 2019!

If we go 11-1, beat Clemp'sson, make it to the playoffs and get blown out, I will still be VERY happy! That will make us a 100% legitimate, elite team and completely set up for a serious (non-dark horse) national title contender.

If we do the above, win our 1st round of the playoffs and get embarassed in the NC game, I will extremely happy!!! MR will be able to recruit on a level we haven't seen since 2000.

Bringing it full circle, we HAVE to get to 11 total wins! We do that, then our recruiting and national reputation will be pretty much be back in tact and we'll begin next season no lower than #6. Let's win at least 11!!!!

Yea.. based on our schedule 10 wins is a worse case scenario. PERIOD.

FSU sucks, Duke sucks, UVa sucks, and VT sucks. BC also sucks.

10-2 regular season, lose to Clemson, win bowl game. 11-3 record. Good season. Needs to translate over to recruiting. Important class

In case you have not noticed, our QB change looks like it was what was needed. Clem(P)son's change looks like it has had the reverse effect.
I know one game is not a season, but based on what I see right now;

Miami beats Clem(p)son and will be crowned ACC Champs!!!

That's a MOST Successful Season!

The Miami standard is undefeated hoisting the Natty after the final whistle.

Anything less is "moral victory" at best.
