This is a straight up O&G sunglasses post, but until we lose with Kosi, I'mmadoit!

As has been well documented, the Coastal this year, is an abomination. All of our remaining daunting games have been softened a bit from the way they appeared preseason and even from a week ago. If we can use the rest of the season to prepare Kosi and get him sorted and squared away. And, if JJ can get off the IR and...well, this doesn't even require AR, actually... And, the OL keeps gelling and we get underclassmen and transfers in the right positions, and the D keeps improving....

The rest of this season could be a process of curing and seasoning Kosi for that ACCCHGM. I don't want to hear that we can't beat Clemp'sson. I don't buy that. Syracuse beat them last year. They almost lost TA&M.

The biggest key is If Kosi keeps improving as well as the rest of the team...gentlemen...anything's possible... We could be CFB's Cinderella story this year.

Clemson is definitely beatable. Even their defense with the "vaunted" front line has gotten gashed for big plays/yards.

Obi Wan N'kosi will bring balance to the offense...

Hes gonna throw picks. Even some of the passes against FIU that were caught were very dangerous and would have been picks against better teams. But hes gonna make a whole lot of plays. We just have to ride the waves.

Side note: I know there was a whole lot of talk last year and this offseason that nkosi doesnt know the plays, not a student of the game, cant read defenses etc. But sometimes a dude is just a gamer. May not be great in practice but when the lights are bright they shine. I think Nkosi is in that category.

This may come as a shock, but you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet. Even if it's a direct quote from CMR.

Just something I learned in 2018. Don't thank me, pay it forward.

Lol Im not saying i believe it. But just throwing it out there that maybe Nkosis just a gamer and not that great in practice.

He's a natural at the position.

We need him to get as much experience as quickly as possible.

Everyone else is fighting for backup reps.

If we solve the punting problem we can be elite.

I can't say it any better, my brother!!! You're on the money!!

Clemson is overrated. They were a better team last year.

They're not immortal but our line is going to get eaten alive.

Add Boulware and put Scaife in at RT, sliding Donaldson in to his more natural position at RG, and I think that more physical line may not due as badly as leaving the current lineup in there will fair.

If we can find a punter who can kick it even 40yds consistently this team would be a whisker away from being relevant again. And by that I mean sitting back in the Top 10 or better by the ACCCG. I do however think even with a victory over Clemson in the title game, that we would come up just short and probably would then head for a second try in a row in a NY6 bowl.

Sadly, I think you are right. With VT and BC losing, we only have Duke as a top 25 opponent. Clemson doesn't have anything either, but they're given a pass and they are undefeated. In fairness, If Clemson loses a regular season game, they could get left out as well.

I have to call it as I see it. The ACC looks like the weakest P5 this year. Needed VT and FSU to be good and contending. You must have at least 4 teams in your conference with a legit chance to win the conference along with some middle tier teams that are not pushovers. Duke is holding up their end as a good middle tier team. BC was on their way until they got smoked by winless Purdue.

We are at #16 now. We could move up to the top 10 easily if we keep winning because there will be attrition from head to head ranked teams. However,
unless there is chaos in the top 10, I don't think we can be ranked high enough to get to the CFP. We would need to be ranked at least 6th before playing in the ACC CG. Beating Clemson with a #6 ranking would jump us to 4th.

Beating Clemson is possible. I'd just like to see improvement from last year making it a competitive one score game.

Just keep this train moving forward.
2019 & 2020 are legit opportunities ro make the CFP.
