For at least the last 12 years, the BOT has been on an apparent mission to destroy their own football program. Their motivation is unknown, although I have my suspicions, which are not appropriate for this board.

Even if it wasn't deliberate, one can hardly tell the difference, as the results speak for themselves. Numerous inept hires in the HC and AD positions continue the destruction, through the present day.

In a private institution, criminal acts of misfeasance, malfeasance, and nonfeasance are difficult to uncover. Let's hope that none have been committed. In fact, let's just bury that hatchet, if it even exists.

The BOT now has another chance to prove their critics wrong. Will they bury the hatchet? Or will they throw it at their loyal fans? Will they hire the Savior, or will they pursue false gods?

Do tell. I have theories, too. But nothing nefarious. I always just assumed it was part of the liberal agenda. And jealousy on the part of the academics.

You're right, Butch worked his *** off to bring us back from probation and then left for THE NFL because of contract issues...all while leaving us a team stacked enough to make a run at 2 BCS titles. The other took a job just long enough to find, what he thought, was a better job. He did nothing for Miami but burn bridges and turn his back on us, after Gordon gave him a chance. Mario is a turncoat and a terrible coach
