Let that sink in for a minute. Not only did we get the biggest regular season win in 17 years, but both UF and FSU continue to lose. This is heavenly. One of them won't be going to a bowl. Perhaps both of them. If there was ever, EVER a time for Richt to cherry pick and stack chips, the time is now.

Not really how recruiting works as kids see bad teams and think they will play but Richt is stacking chips regardless. We will have a top 3 class which will really be the best class as we have a good amount of 3 stars who are really 4 stars and 4 stars who are really 5 stars but since there is so much talent in South Florida they can't give everyone 4 & 5 stars.

Some kids do see those teams now and may see an opportunity for early playing time.

But Richt and Co have plenty of amo to kick those programs while they’re down - on the recruiting trail and in social media tweets , etc. Its a very good thing.

Some kids do like the thought of playing time, however, how can they watch a Miami game and not see the true freshmen making plays? If you're good enough to play, you will play. I don't know if I want kids that go to loser programs just because there is a lack of talent and competition.

Exactly. Richt can sell the ‘Come here and play early line’ just like uf and f$u. He can add to that line winning and playing in big time meaningful games while competing for ACC & National Championships! (kick opponents while they’re down)

This makes me happy guys were willing to transfer away this year. Let us open space for better players.

I call major BS on that. The rich get richer, we see that year in and year out. All the data is right there to support it. Elite recruits elite.

Coaches get a honeymoon class or two, and get a some kids who were leaning a programs direction to take a leap of faith, but systemic underperformance gets you second tier recruiting.

The best recruits know that playing time matters only insofar as the context. A great player isn't motivated by playing time at Directional Nowhere U - he wants to play with and against the very best, because that's how he's gonna get a ring and that's how he's gonna make it to the NFL.

And the direct proof of that is Bama. Is Saban having trouble recruiting the players of his choice just because it's a ***** to break your way into the two deep? I don't believe he is.

Who wants a recruit that thinks he is entitled for immediate.playing time. Much prefer the ones not afraid of working hard against good competition to earn that playing time

This. It's the reason we are where we are right now and why FSU and UF are where they are.

That's why they quit at the first sign of adversity, like CJ Henderson. You focus on who comes here because they accept the challenge and embrace the legacy. Kids like Trajan, Young, Shaq, Ahmmon and Berrios (just to name a few), who understand the responsibility are the ones this thing was built on. That's why we are who we are and they are who they are.
