I was at that Wisconsin game. What a beat down- like 56-7 or something.

I think the 89 team is super under appreciated.

That DL with Maryland, Cortez, Jimmie Jones, Greg Mark, Shane Curry and Peguese might be best ever.

The 1989 defense was incredible. Maybe an undefeated natty if Erickson doesn’t break a finger against Michigan State.

A lot of good skill players on offense, but other than Randall Hill I don’t think anyone made much of a dent in the NFL. Erickson had a decent career for a while in Tampa Bay. More than a cup of coffee. More like a large pot of coffee. I feel he is underappreciated compared to the other starters before him and Toretta afterwards.

Of all the QB’s I believe Erickson is the most underrated ever of the UM greats. Another what if? Guy if he doesn’t blow his knee at the Hula Bowl if memory serves me right.
 
Excellent quality video for most of the games, seeing as it was pre digital.
Most of the Big10 network games even a few years ago looked like they were recorded with an IPhone.
Very enjoyable to watch. Two HOF’ers on the interior DLine. That line was incredible.

Watch the Cotton Bowl versus Texas, there you will witness how we played not caring about anything but feeding an unquenchable hunger to feed to get to NC .
 
First thing I noticed was the size of the pads back then in comparison to the ones worn now especially the ones worn by the LBers .

Thanks for video. It brings back a lot of memories and a lot of hope that one day we will be that good again..

Definitely the greatest starting DT duo we ever had. JB arguably the greatest ever DT in my opinion we had. But in terms of starting duos at DT don’t think we ever had one as elite as when Tez & Russell
