The real scary thing is we've been a bad team longer than we were ever a good one. Every year we stink it continues to look like 83-01 was just an outlier.
This is probably one of the most real posts ever. I echo ur sentiment. The U was an alright team, then had a 15 year or so run in the 80's & early 90's (Probation came) We then had a 4 or so year run from 00 to about 04. The rest of the time we have been what we are. I believe because of the talent in FL. The U can possibly catch lightning in a bottle again and go on another run. But that is what it will be, a run. To your point, our fans act as if we have been a top 5 team year in and year out. Reality is that the last time we were great was in 2002 when Porter threw the flag in the Fiesta Bowl...
but I don’t even need a championship team. Just one that preforms at the level of the talent. What ****es me off is that even at our crap budget there are still way better coaches left on the table. There are coaches far better than Diaz making less, OCs better than enos making less etc. if we knew how to use our money we could be consistent coastal champs, which means NY6 bowls very commonly, and even the occasional sneak of an ACC championship.
