Miami continues to lock in official visit dates with its top 2026 targets, and five-star small forward Caleb Gaskins is the latest to add the Hurricanes to his schedule.
The 6-foot-8, 210-pound standout from Christopher Columbus (Miami, FL) told 247Sports he will take an official visit to Miami beginning Sept. 12. He has also set visits with Texas, Texas A&M, Florida, Ole Miss, and Florida State.
According to the 247Sports rankings, Gaskins is the No. 12 overall player in the class of 2026, the No. 3 power forward, and the top-ranked player in Florida.
Multiple sources I’ve spoken with believe this is shaping up to be a battle between Florida and Miami, with the Hurricanes currently holding the edge.
Miami assistant coach Andrew Moran has played a key role in Gaskins’ recruitment. Moran coached him last season at Christopher Columbus, where the team captured a national title, and also worked with him on the Nightrydas Elite AAU squad, which went on to win the Peach Jam this past summer.
On the EYBL Circuit a couple of months ago, Gaskins was nothing short of dominant, averaging 18.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.
