Miami continues to lock in official visit dates with its top 2027 targets, and four-star small quarterback Wonderful Monds IV is the latest to add the Hurricanes to his schedule.

The 6-foot-2, 224-pound standout from Vero Beach (Vero Beach, FL) told On3 he will take an official visit to Miami beginning April 11th. He has also set visits with Florida (March 26), Florida State (March 28th), Ohio State (April 4th), and Notre Dame (April 18th).

According to the 247Sports rankings, Monds is the No. 254 overall player in the class of 2027, the No. 17 quarterback, and the 28th-ranked player in Florida.

Monds has a impressive offer sheet, picking up offers from the Hurricanes, Florida State, Florida, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Michigan, Oregon, NC State plus many more schools.

During his junior season at Vero Beach, he racked up 2234 total passing yards, while also throwing for 23 touchdowns and only throwing five interceptions. He also was liable on his feet rushing for 508 yards on the ground for a total of nine touchdowns.

The Hurricanes just continue to stack talent in the 2027 class on both sides of the ball, and a quarterback in Monds would be a major long-term addition for Shannon Dawson's offense.

Miami holds four commitments in the 2027 cycle, highlighted by four-star WR Ah’Mari Stevens, three-star OT Zaquan Linton, four-star EDGE Demarcus Deroche, and four-star safety Jaylyn Jones.
