One of the highest ranked recruits in the 2028 recruiting class was in attendance for Miami's Legends Camp event. CanesInSight caught up with four-star linebacker Gabriel Player. He talked about how the event went, where the Hurricanes stand in his recruitment, and what's next for him.

Gabriel is out of Melbourne, Florida, where he plays high school football at Eau Gallie High School. This past season, he racked up a total of 59 tackles, two sacks, three pass deflections, and two interceptions. 247Sports lists him as the No. 62 player nationally, No. 4 linebacker, and No. 8 player out of Florida. Gabriel is currently measured in at 6-foot-3, 190-pounds.

Check out everything he had to say after the event:

What was your biggest takeaway from today’s camp?

My biggest takeaway was just all the different ways they showcased their history. It was nice to see it.

How was it working with the Miami coaching staff, and did they give you any feedback?

It was great working with Coach. They just love my skill set. My ability to move and cover.

What stood out most about Miami during your visit?

Miami stands out every time I go. They just continued to show [me] love.

Did today’s camp impact your recruitment at all?

It helped me continue my relationship with 'The U'.

What’s next for you in your recruiting process?

Trying to figure out all of it in the next few weeks.
