The 6-3 305 DT Kendrick Norton from Jacksonville, has The U in his top 2 along with UF. Sounds like UF is in the lead but if any coaching changes are made things could change. He has developed a great relationship with Jethro Franklin, they talk almost every day.

We got St. Louis. At this point nothing would surprise me in a battle between us and UF for someone at the moment to land someone.

All I'll say is, lord please. 'Cause we need DT's!

kid was committed to FSU as a OL, gotta wonder if he decommitted because he wants to play DT

If I'm not mistaken I think thats why he decommitted. My brother trains several of the Trinity Christian studs, so I am trying to get more intel.

That's exactly why he decommitted. But he's a decent DT and a great OL. Can't stand when players don't realize a position is better for them. And I don't think he's a take for UF right now he tried to commit on his last visit there. If the top two stays the same he'll likely be miami bound

Exactly! ESPN has him rated as the 6th best Offensive Guard in the nation and 78th best player overall and he still wants to play DT?! Wow!

Yeah he maybe better at OL but he wont give the effort if he doesnt want to play there. Did we offer him as a DT?

He would work well as a NT in UM's 2 gap system since we use them like defensive blockers anyway, lol.

Here is interview he did last year.

Stop and think for a minute! We seriously recruit him hard as a DT. Even let him know he is a priority at a position of need, DT! He's a 4 star DT according to the title here? He certainly has the ideal measurements! He'll most likely be a better DT than any high 3 star we'd bring in currently! If he doesn't work out at DT then we know he's a highly regarded G! Last but not least, it'll put us firmly in recruits minds in the Jacksonville area! So the positives far out weigh all this analytical BS!

In that video, he's playing some 3-4 on the DL, and compared to his OL film--just from body language, it looks like he enjoys DT quite a bit more. Looks like he's going thru the motions on the OL (and still playing well), but on the DL...he's smashing people and celebrating it.

I'd take him as a DT. ****, he even had nice moves rushing the passer from the DE spot.

If its just between us and UF, gotta like our chances. We own UF now in recruiting. All their base are belong to us.

One thing I notice, whichever side he plays on when he hits someone they fall down. He is very aggressive Sign kid up. He does look like beast at guard but we need DTs more.

Since we need a dt, and this guy can always fall back on being a guard, and probably one of the best ol in this class, i dont see any prob with getting this guy other than he mighg not stick with us all the way, and our limited scholarships.

Funny thing is he attended two Miami games last year, he came down to see UM vs UF and then he attended UM vs FSU in Tallahassee. Both time he attended the game to watch the other teams and now he could end up at miami.

But I am glad see UM has turned the tables an now sit in a good position.

Go Canes
