Miami and coach Jai Lucas are scheduled to host 2025 shooting guard Dante Allen from Montverde Academy this weekend.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound guard from Montverde informed CIS that he will be visiting Miami on April 12. He informed me that Jai Lucas was the coach that reached out to him.

"I first heard from him sometime this past weekend and {Miami} are definitely a high choice in my recruitment."

I asked the four-star recruit about his main focus when he got to Miami this weekend, and here's what he shared:

"Probably all the basketball facilities because I haven’t gotten a chance to see it yet. Relationship is great and I have a solid relationship with a few of the coaches." Said Allen.

Allen plays for the Nightrydas Elite in the AAU circuit, and it looks like his head coach, Andrew Moran, might be joining the Canes' coaching staff. He mentioned to CIS that this might have an impact on his recruiting process.

Allen has already made unofficial visits earlier this year to Villanova and Georgia. A 6-foot-4, 220-pound combo guard from Montverde Academy, he is currently ranked as the No. 42 player in the Class of 2025. Additionally, he holds the position of the No. 6 combo guard nationally and is recognized as the No. 10 player in the state of Florida.

He’s averaging 11.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game at Montverde Academy, shooting 48 percent from the field and 37 percent from three-point range this season.

Check out some of his film from this past season:

It's not "might be joining". He's on the staff. Again, not sure why Miami hasn't made an official announcement but he's been actively recruiting kids for the program telling prospects and parents that he's officially on staff. Could be they're waiting on approval from the higher ups to make a formal announcement, but it's a done deal. Moran is on staff! Matter of fact, Columbus already has his replacement. Aside from all that, it's no coincidence that the majority of kids who've already committed have direct ties to him and/or Pastrana.
