This postseason is going to be a good example of why the ACC and Big12 may not want to dismiss this option if it comes back around. The SEC is gonna run away with almost all of the at-large spots this year, and the reality is this is what the postseason is gonna look like every year. It’ll essentially be an SEC/B1G/Notre Dame invitational unless the ACC/Big 12 take the 4 guaranteed spots in a new format.
It’s easy to talk tough about “taking a stand” against the P2, but the ACC/Big 12 have zero leverage and no cards to play. If they want to have any kind of real representation in the postseason there’s really no other options.
