3rd Down Conversions

One of the stats that really stood out to me. 11 of 16 on 3rd down. Absolutely amazing!

Yep but we’ve converted quite a few 3rd and longs as well. No screens, draws, or runs up the middle.

Still need to be better on 1st and 2nd down. There’s a reason 11/16 on 3rd down is so noteworthy...it’s because it’s not common or sustainable.

Ohio State led the country last year at 55%. You can’t expect to sustain 68% week to week.

The best part? Lashlee is really smart and very in tune with analytics (although this is just basic football). He knows he’s not beating Clemson or other the 5 other teams we’ll play that are better than the train wreck we just played. Gotta be more efficient on 1st and 2nd down going forward.
