Interesting that Manny lost to Alabama, the number One team in the country, by 31 points, and Mario lost to Utah, the number Eighteen team in the country by the same 31 points. With all due respect, I seriously doubt Utah could beat the Canes by 31 points, even with Manny coaching. I suspect we could give Utah a very close game. Before you jump and shout, yes I agree that Mario will be a good hire for us, and I’m all for it. I very much hope he quits dallying around and signs on the dotted line and becomes one of the few coaches who wins a Natty as a player, and then comes back to win another Natty as the HC at the same school. But Mario’s success will be determined by his ability to bring in and keep on staff a top notch OC and DC. Mario earlier had a QB that was as good as our TVD, but for whatever reason, did not let him develop. Hopefully That won’t happen again. If Mario signs and brings in a top notch OC, we will win the Coastal easily this year.
