When Mario Cristobal took over the Miami Hurricanes' head coaching job, he made it known that rebuilding the Hurricanes offensive line would be the No. 1 priority. Over the past two seasons, he has proven that statement. He brought in Alex Mirabal from Oregon, who develops talent into the NFL Draft.
As both coaches continue to look for the next additions to add to the 2028 recruiting class, three-star 2028 interior offensive lineman Charlie Pisani spoke with CanesInSight about his recruitment, along with the Hurricanes pursuit and upcoming visits.
Pisani expressed to CIS that the Hurricanes are currently the leader in his recruitment: "Miami probably stands at number 1." He noted that there are currently three other schools pursuing him the hardest: Florida state, Virginia Tech, and Tennessee.
According to the 247Sports Composite Recruiting Rankings, he is currently viewed as a three-star prospect. He ranks as the nation's No. 442 overall prospect, No. 28 interior offensive linemen, and No. 63 player out of the Sunshine State. He hails from Fort Pierce (Fla.) John Carroll High School, where this past season he led the Golden Rams to an overall record of 8-3 and 3-1 in district play.
He measures in at 6-foot-3, 280-pounds, and holds a total of 17 offers from power-five programs. He recently was on campus for the Hurricanes offensive and defensive linemen camp. The Hurricanes was his first ever division-one offer.
Pisani would like to commit by the end of his junior season and is planning on visiting the Hurricanes game against the Florida State Seminoles. He expressed that he would excel in the Hurricanes offensive line scheme because he runs a very similar coaching style at his high school.
"I think id fit great, the coaching style is very similar to my high school," he added. "The family aspect and development [traits] of the school is my favorite thing."
As the Hurricanes continue to put offensive linemen into the NFL Draft, high school prospects are taking notice in that opportunity of being coached by two of the best offensive line coaches in the country.
