3 Canes in Athlon's top 50 players

It's strange how the media values Roche so highly yet Canes fans think he shouldn't be a starter.

"bUt MaH FIVE sTaRzZZZZ"

D'Eriq King
Gregory Rousseau
Brevin Jordan
Quincy Roche
Jaelan Phillips

Are all top 50 players IMO.

Obviously, Phillips hasn't done anything yet in his college career to be put in the top 50, but the talent is undeniable.

Hopefully by seasons end we have at least 2 WR's, a RB & a Safety that can enter the discussion.

I made a thread about this but part of the reason Roche is so good and graded so highly is because he was in a snap rotation.

How many snaps did Garvin coast last season? Even Rousseau ran out of gas at times. I doubt we see much of that this year from the DL.

Need RBs to step up big time. Cam, Jaylan & Don can be special with King.

I'm not certain with King--with an OL--absolutely agree with you. We still here troubling things from practice, as expected.

"OL gave RBs no room to run", "D King causing problems for D with his mobility".

D King's skill sets, as desperately needed as they are, do not solve fundamental OL failures, they merely mask them or mitigate to a degree.

We can't blame King for busted plays when he is running for his life--and that could be more often than we want to see.

Brevin has to stay healthy and he'll absolutely make the top 50. You already covered Phillips, so I don't see any issue with having only the three they had listed.

Brevin should have plenty of fuel for the fire for this season. He's easily one of if not the best tight end in college football but is forgotten about regularly. A lot of that is due to injuries so he needs to show he can stay healthy. He'll eat in the new offense and will a full season he most likely will be a first round pick next year.

Thinking El if we get that many in the top 50 that Manny will have saved his **** for another season in 2021 cuz that means we win 10 games at minimum.
