What you think about him at Nickel as a Frosh? Assuming we return OJ/Lucas/OConnor/Damari, ideally one of these CBs from last class or this class steps up at Nickel so we aren't forced to portal. But that's a pretty important role to rely on a freshman. If we could get Antione or Dopson to start at Nickel that'd be awesome for us... And Ewald can rotate in there too. But Wonder if Damari would want to move back to nickel at all...

Keionte Scott has played by far the most snaps of anyone on this Defense this year. So that's going to be a big role to fill next year.

keionte scott plays the position like a **** linebacker...they may need to find a guy like that out of the portal.

I coached CJ Ewald since youth ball thats not his game...hes the cover nickel in my eyes and will do well here using his length and smarts.

I guess they can possibly try Damari there.....Im sure Tre Dobson can play there kid is pretty physical too....but scott is kinda setting that bar high to the point that might end up out of the portal or they will bring Poyser down some next year...or even Dylan Day who seems to not give a f*ck lighting ppl up

With the portal now in full "free agency" environment, have you seen less opportunities across the board for HS athletes?

It is why I actually think he could be a safety. Bigger body, can cover if asked, covers a ton of ground. He likely can play CB at the college level. It likely depends on how big he gets since he is only 16-17.

yes there was an issue there and with covid.
Its just slightly coming back up but the div 1 signees in miami dade has went down for sure.

Some of the college coaches are like the **** with it and going in the portal.
Then some dont want to recruit south florida because they are afraid of the transferring out of florida kids after any amount of success or just their sheer portal ability.

hes bigger than Bryce fitzgerald right now hes a solid 190. Im sure he can play in the backend at safety...the thing is kid is so good at cb you might not want to move hima s he will be your best cb right away as well.

You just want to make sure you land a kid who has been a um fan his entire life, his dad being one, and his deceased mother etc.Like whatever it is land the **** kid or keep him committed.

That’s not Damari or Poyser’s spot, IMO. Need someone with ultra quick feet who also fills the plays coming directly at him. Maybe someone grows into the role or they play the role differently. Maybe Damari slides to Safety and that opens up other moves. We’ll see.

His girlfriend is a major issue in the football program. The story is true about the admin not wanting to deal with her. They suck. He and Lombardi constructed a **** roster with lots of support. I don’t care what the statement says he’s just not the guy. He’s also 90

Dam bro! That’s a statement! Best CB right away? Better the OJ Lucas and Damari?

Im with you that he’s elite talent and do whatever it takes to land him.

Last night and moving forward we really could have benefited from Kelly staying at Miami. Mesidor is hurt. It doesn’t matter if Kelly is better or worse, he would be available. He also is 4th on the UCF team in tackles. I believe someone said he didn’t produce in 24 due to the number of tackles. Game 7 and he could pass the total for ‘24.
