Its clear out strategy is to recruit High school for our star players and fill gaps with the portal. At these prices it's nearly impossible to build an elite team in the portal unless you hit on all of the commitments
Getting the feeling that Mario is only recruiting for players where the improvement is not only measureable but clearly evident. We will do some, but it's not groundbreaking.

To be quite honest, I cannot blame him. As much as I understand fielding the best team every season under any circumstances, you're blocking development paths for young players doing it this way. And this can potentially hurt high school recruiting further down the road.

As much as we hate to not use our TE’s, it doesnt make sense to carry expensive ones with how little we use them as playmakers. Thats the position we go conservative on.

Those are correct #'s in general. Those #'s are way off on the top position leaders. I am not going to start making a list, but just to start, Sorsby got $5.5.

TE arent expensive lol. You can find good ones to get the job done. We used to find Njoku types.. The TE coach needs to do his job fr. Soo many plays are limited even in the run game because our TE get destroyed. Why do people excuse subpar play?

You seem plugged in, but i still don't know if i buy that. First, reports said $5-7M. Then it was "around" $5M, which usually means slightly under. Everything being put out there since NIL started has been inflated, so i don't expect that to be any different this year.

I do wonder if some numbers include escalator clauses that could get to a higher cap, which is not in the base.

my general point of those #'s was to find the $300k TE's that can get the job done.. not go $900k for a position we don't highlight

NO ONE is saying spend a mil on a TE. But get someone who doesnt get destroyed on blocks or route doesnt even get a single look in progression. Literally playin 10 on 11..

the price is whatever the other party is willing to pay based on their situation ... coming off the loss and qb play, tech was ready to pay up big time
