This could be a scary unit. This staff will have to find depth at Striker but outside of that this team nearly returns a full 3 deep. Miami’s defensive staff has proven to be quality player developers and I look forward to what they can do with the riches of talent on the defensive side of the ball next year.

Well written, my friend. We just have to keep stacking these guys, one behind the other. It is a 2-3 year process of good recruiting and then winning. We need to finish strong, this year to keep stacking. If we finish strong, we will also get looks from good dudes in the Portal and through transfers to fill some depth issues, plus recruiting.
We have to keep digging and stacking 'em up, one after another and we will get back to were we want to be.
I really like the direction we are headed and hope I am right. If not, y'all will let me know.

Has Keontra Smith played at all? With 4 games left he could play out and still RS if he hasnt gotten in yet..

there will be some games next year where we miss shaq and pinckney more than ppl want to admit now.

otherwise i think the biggest potential problem is if garvin leaves. the first team would still be set with patchan but on passing downs we would need some unproven talent to step up and take some of the attention away from rousseau. right now our best line up on passing downs has garvin and hill outside and rousseau inside... if we still want rousseau rushing from the interior next year we're going to need at least one DE to step in and replace hill, and potentially a second if garvin leaves.

also replacing romeo finley... right now i feel like we have a big striker (romeo) and a small striker (gilbert). they'll need someone to fill the big striker role next year for certain downs/teams... maybe amari carter?

Brother when you got studs on both side of you and you look at each other as you put your hand in the dirt together blowing snaught and cutting a good fart saying unleash ****....what a feeling.

I did some research on the past 2 seasons of DL play and it has me thinking about the three headed monster that could be Rousseau, Roche, and Phillips/Harvey and how they compare to the previous 2 seasons top 3 defensive lineman. I'm curious where everyone thinks they'll fall statistically

2018(Willis, Garvin, and Jackson)
49.5 TFLs
18.5 Sacks

2019(Garvin, Rousseau, and Hill)
38 TFLs
25 Sacks

2020(Rousseau, Roche, and Phillips/Harvey)
O/U 52 TFLs
O/U 30 Sacks

If I had to guess, I'd HAMMER the over on TFL's and idk about the Sack numbers. On one hand I could see us blowing past 30 and the other I can see a slight regression in sack numbers from Rousseau and Roche (not impact just sack numbers). I think they are all going to cause havoc but I could see a lot of game planning going toward getting the ball out quickly and trying to negate the pass rush.
