I think Cager gets very little playing time

Yeah he will. Cager was making highlight real catches throughout fall camp last year. Cager has the goods he is fast for his size at 6'5 and can catch. Has put on solid weight since being at Miami as well. remember bama wanted him bad

He was terrible in creating separation, worst % of the WR. He had miniscule YAC, worst of the WR. He made only 1 difficult catch during the season. He is tall. He is not even close in athletic ability to Coley, Bruce, Richards, or Mullins. I don't think he is as athletic as Berrios. He is Tall.

For the mature mind that looks good...but in the eyes of a recruit RS is a very very bad thing. If we have that many RS it will hurt recruiting. U and I know a RS is not a bad thing...but these kids would rather go some where and play rather than go some where and develop for a year... And Gayot is not coming back.

I've been screaming that exact same thing for months and no one will listen. No 4* recruit **** even some 3* recruits( K.NORTON) is coming to MIAMI to red shirt.

Would love to see Gray get opportunity @ receiver, (imagine Coley, Cager,Gray in line up Njoku used like Gronk)

What was Gayot's exact injury?

Recruits will redshirt if they don't have a shot at playing next year like the tight ends, homer or bethel. They shouldn't waste a year. Guys like dobard and Jamal Carter should have 2 years left but instead only have 1 because of roster mismanagement by golden and co.

Brock u are thinking like a sound mind mature adult...but these new millenia kids of today. Don't think that way...they are apart of the microwave generation they want it hot now. RS is a very bad thing in their mind a re recruiting deterrent. .. I would bet the first joint of my pinkie finger that if we were to redshirt all of our 16 LBs... all the 17 LBs will end up somewhere else... I can tell you right now that the 16 LBs all want to work their way up the depth chart.. they all expect to play.. none expect to RS

They all have the mindset they are good enough to play... I wouldn't want a kid if he didn't think he was good enough

Yeah no doubt but in some positions it's not physically possible to expect to play if the position is absolutely loaded like at running back, defensive end or tight end at Miami right now. Linebacker has a bunch of good talent too so I'm sure the freshman will be mixed in for depth purpose alone and if they do well in practice take a spot from someone

True...but in that case kids will go where there is a need. These new kids are thinking 3 years and off to the league. Times have changed..you have to roll with change or be rolled over

Yeah but it's a business decision at the end of the day. If it was me i'm not wasting a whole year to only end up playing a few plays just to feed my ego.

The one name I do not see that I expect to make a little noise is CJ Perry he has the athleticism of the 2016 LBs and if Gayot is not coming back you could probably insert him there (depth chart wise) .

He didn't look to bad in the Spring game and came in a tad undersized but was early enrollee last Spring. He is a classic example of burning a kids shirt for a minimal role will be interesting how LB reps shake out.
