2015 DB Najee Clayton as a late UM Prospect is something that would not surprise me if Tim Irvin decides to go elsewhere this Saturday. Clayton is a 6'3" 215lbs safety with good range and excellent hands that hits like a truck, he could easily fill that hybrid S/LB role that a true 3-4 defense is supposed to have. He is currently rated as a 3* prospect along with being the nations 53rd best safety and the #31 in New Jerseys Top 50 prospects list.

Here is an article about how his recruiting is about to explode after the dead period ends Jan 15th.

An we all know how Golden loves New Jersey kids. The best part is that Clayton is teammates with 2015 LB Saleem Brightwell whom a few on this board like and was recently offered by Miami which vaulted Miami into his Top group.

Landing these two kids would help to solve UM's Linebacker depth problems and they can both cover in zone.

So let me get this right Arizona, Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan State and Clemson are all starting to recruit this kid as a back up plan if they miss on certin key recruits yet to the geniuses on here Clayton is some how hot garbage. Right especially keeping in mind all te schools listed above are masters at squeezing the most performance out of 2* & 3* kids.

**** Arizona just had a 2* LB win the Butkus award and lead the nation in tackles for losses.

Mich St makes a living off of turning guys like clayton into monstes on the field.

Wisconsin has a nationally ranked Top 5 defense in pretty much every category that is littered with 2* & 3* guys like Clayton

But yeah the kid can't play, right!

Problem is that the only things Al squeezes is UM bank account, our fans' raw nerves, and Mark's .. well you can fill in the blank on that.

Yet we won't talk to Ben Edwards enough when he said he's interedted in Miami. Not to mention just go all out on Hunter Dale or Redwine. Or any other DB in FL. Nope we go to Jersey.

Like I said earlier, Davis, Irvin and Clarrington all to Texas. This kid is a stretch as a back up for losing Davis and Irvin.

What separates those teams from us at the moment is COACHING. Those teams have excellent coaches that develop players. When you have that in place you can get by with 2 and 3 stars and succeed. Golden and some members on the staff can't do that, so for us to take a two star kid with the lack of development shown with previous 2 and 3 star recruits and also some 4 and 5 stars it's hard to go after projects.
