2014 Monster NT Charles Mosley stands 6'5" 350 lbs from Brighton, TN (North Memphis Area) is UM interested in a broad-shouldered, barrel-chested and tree-trunk-legged player that could step in and play for UM RIGHT NOW. This kid believe it or not is a semi under the radar players, but the people in the know are all over this kid.

Lets puts its this way up this kids first offer came from Bama after he attended a summer camp with the help of his assistant coach and former Alabama tight end Barrett Earnest, Mosley got down to Alabama’s camp and though he arrived as an unknown, he quickly caught the attention of the entire staff, most notably Nick Saban. He was then pulled aside to the "Nick Saban Group" where campers do 1 on 1 drills in front of saban. So Saban was impressed and said they would offer him but held onto that offer to through some schools off Mosley scent. But on Feb 6th after Bama's Jr day this year the big man as offered by Saban and within the week Mosley had offers auburn, UGA, Tenn, and Ole Miss.

Mosley said despite Bama being his Leader he wanted to take some visits this spring & summer an was open other schools. He has visited a few schools so Far Bama, Tenn (which also blew him away), he scheduled for Auburn in the spring.

UM needs to get him down for a visit and possibly even am AG camp, I am talking pulling out all the stops to get at least a visit. UM missed on the last Big NT out of Memphis: Brandon Ivory who by the way literally begging for a UM offer 3 years ago as part of the 2010 class. But UM said no thanks, now he is the starting NT for Bama as a Sophomore, an keep in mind Ivory's only other offer was to Memphis.
Nick Saban has been to Mosleys High School twice already (cough cough but not to see him) and for Saban to go to all this effort you know the kid can play. An the kid has no character issues per his coach and teachers.

This young man is just down right terrifying at the point of attack from the NT position, with a surprisingly good motor for being 350lbs.

This video is country grown man down in the trenches & mud football.

Ngata played rugby and was an elite athlete at that size. He moved very well and his conditioning was never suspect. Most of the time that will be a concern with large guys.

This kids plays for his HS basketball team so that should answer any question about his conditioning. As for 350lb kids not panning out take a look at Tenn, UGA, and Bama's d-line they have had quite a few 350lbs monsters that panned out. As long as the kid carries the weight properly as in naturally big boned as they say they tend to work out. Saban had so much success with Brandon Ivory he is going back Memphis to try an get Mosley, if Nick Saban's opinion counts for anything.

I get what you're saying but playing bball isn't necessarily synonymous with being a good athlete. Back in the 90s, Miami had 2 huge OL that played HSBB for Carol City - Freeman Brown and Ricky Perry. The former was a double digit scorer, iirc, and both were heavy and out of shape.

Once upon a time we used to recruit Memphis really well. We need to get back into Memphis, New Orleans and Houston.

I blame our current staff for not understanding the deep south when it comes to recruiting. They're more comfortable with California and New Jersey. I do like the staff, but we need to recruit Texas and Memphis like we used to. Hubbard Alexander used to know Memphis like the back of his hand. JJ, Tuberville and Butch knew Texas. CJ knew Louisiana. We need some good ol' boys, not black guys born in France like Jethro.

We are slowly getting back into the south we have players from Georgia, Texas, Virginia, and Louisiana. So I am thinking we are on the right track.
