I think some of those kids would have had different outcomes had they stayed in Souht Florida. These kids don't understand how important it is to have those mentors and family for support.

2013 was an ugly year for Cruitin.

By Comparison 2014 looks amazing..

^12 good players from 2013. Out of those 12, 6 have NFL level talent...only three are elite talents (Grace, Kamalu, and Coley).
^From 2014, you have basically the whole class still here. I think after this year, you'll see some of them start to leave (like Langham, Gray, McCray, and Smith) which puts you right back at that 2013 level (of about 50% hit rate). The only difference is, there are only 4 NFL level guys; with Kaakaya as the only elite talent in the class.

Why are we rejoicing over the misfortunes of other prospects? We have our own issues. You know how recruiting goes. Some kids commit to us, some kids flip from us, some flip to us and some get pushed out or ignored. These are kids man. No need for a thread like this. If they came here would it have made a difference? We don't know what's going on with those players. I do know that MT has been injured on a team that lost 1 game in 2 years, Bostwic was one one of the best defenses in the nation for the past 3 years and Keith is suppose to battle for a starting role this year.

Kids now a days are so fragile. You can always look back and wonder but the truth of the matter is we will never know.

Not so sure about that given how a lot of those kids are the way they are BECAUSE of the "mentors" and family that "guided" them through their youth.

I agree with you on that but they got people around them who they can fall back on. But when they 500 to 1000 miles away from home it's a different ball game! I'm willing to bet 50% of them are just plain homesick and stop giving a **** about football.

Angelo Jean Louis just got released by Marshall.

Another kid that just can't seem to get right. Averaged over 20 YPC last year and now can't hack it at Marshall. ******* Marshall kicked him out, **** even Randy Moss was able to make it there.

AJL had some horrible grades coming out, didn't do anything to help it in prep, its a shame the kid had major talent would have been nice to have him with our core this year, scott, coley and AJL man thats deadly

On the other hand, snubs from 2013 that I really wish we landed include
  1. Alex Collins who would have come in especially handy in short yardage and when Duke got injured and
  2. Denver Kirkland whom we needed last year with all the injuries and this year with the loss of four starters from last year's o-line.
