Depressing that it's been nine years, but I truly believe that this is the season where things truly started to spiral. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of Coker nor do I think he was necessarily the answer then, but let's look at the facts shall we..

Coker went 20-5 in the two seasons prior, including bowl victories over FSU and UF, one of which being a BCS bowl game. The VT loss in '04 cost us the ACC title, but we got all the way up to #3 in '05 and had a legitimate shot to play for a national championship, or at worst, in another BCS game. Then we get Megatron'd, LSU rolls us in the Peach and it's all downhill from there. Incredible.

2004 Tennessee was where it became obvious. 2002 was where it started.

Not firing ****er sooner and failing with Shannon and likely Golden hires created a death spiral.

The spiral started the moment they announced Coker as HC. The admin has just continued being cheap asses with each hire afterwards.

That interception to gt in 05. On first down with time to go. Olson double covered and Wright threw that dumb *** pass.... Down hill every since.

I was at that Peach bowl loss to LSU. I had never seen Miami get manhandled that badly, and I've been watching for 30+ years. Well, maybe the 48-0 blowout to VIRGINIA in the LAST game at the OB. **** this past decade has sucked.
