2001 Miami Hurricanes weren’t just historically good, but transcendentally great

It was the perfect storm of talent. Greatness like that does not come often, we were lucky to have it in our backyard, hence we will never be satisfied with mediocrity but again that sort of talent is one in a million.

Should have won three straight MNCa with that talent.
We were robbed in 2000 due to the BCS formula getting it wrong for the Orange Bowl Classic.
And in 2002 we all know what happened.

We all know that Alabama seems to have been to 10 out of the last 11 National Championship games, or something like that, and they will claim they have had better teams than that Canes 2001 squad......My question is...did ANY of those Bama running backs do anything in the NFL? Did any of their tight ends?...........I believe during one stretch of that era the Canes had 3 consecutive drafts that had either 5 or 6 players that went in the first round?

Wait....and 38 players off of the 2001 were drafted into the NFL? That is unheard of...even today.
