1985 CANES - Notre Dame

What you see on this 85 team was great quarterbacking .We have not had that since Dorsey . We had good pass blockers on those teams. they had nimble feet.

I dont think u know your football, Coach Diaz saved the Canes last year not Rich. He left, period. Its called, Psycho.

Yes brother, Sugar Bowl, we got whooped but it only hurt that night as I got drunk on Bourbon St. with drinks bought by Tennessee fans... a class act them Vols. Optimism was high the next year, and rightfully so we were bad-asses until PSU.

Yes our defense was lights out that game, and Malik played the best game of the year and our players were super energized that night. Also the Irish were not as good as they are this year. I agree CMR wasn't the winning factor imo.

We're fixin to get a good look at Mork's prep work tomorrow, lets see how that goes, whats he had 2 or 3 weeks to get ready, i'd say there is a high probability that he will suck *** per his norm

So when Richt beat Notre Dame last year when they were #2, he was less prepared than when Jimmy Johnson lost to Tennessee 35-7. Even you, with your limited attention span, must be able to step back and realize how stupid your comment was.

Yes, losing to the number 4 team in the nation who only had a loss against no 5 UF in a rivalry game at UF does not mean you are less prepared than beating an overrated ND team with the worst QB in the nation at home.

Why do you do this to yourself. Being ranked #2 and getting blown out and never even competing in the game is the definition of being unprepared.

Destroying an undefeated team shows that there was some preparation, otherwise the opponent would have been winless, not undefeated.

And ease up on the hyperbole. ND didn't have the "worst QB in the nation".

In any event, the JJ apologists never fail. They think losing 35-7 is better than winning 41-8. They actually believe that.

I don't see where I ever stated Johnson was prepared for the game. I agree that he wasn't. My point was that EVEN when JJ came unprepared, he was still more prepared than Mork ever has been. Why do you constantly spew fake facts? Notre Dame WAS NOT undefeated when they played us. They had an easy schedule and got the classic ND bump(just like this year) in the rankings. Sorry, they had the worst QB in the P5. I assumed you would be able to read between the lines. They would have got bludgeoned by LSU if they had Wimbush play most of the game like they did against Miami. I am not a JJ apologist and would have been furious if I watched the Tenn game, but to say Mork was more prepared because he beat a trash ND team that had a terrible QB doesn't mean schit. What will be your next statement? That Mork was so well prepared against SSU that is why we destroyed them?
 
Still hear Aria saying it was “a deliberate attempt to embarrass the University of Notre Dame”. Lol

One of the reasons for subsequent ND fans' hatred of UM--as I heard it explained by ND fans--was that Johnson displayed lack of compassion for running up the score on Faust, who was already fired as the coach.

Hey jagr- I researched some of this old stuff like that rotted old corpse Johnny majors- my question to you is this- how many super bowl rings does corpse Majors have? I know that JJ has a couple😀😀
