this is the 58-7 *** whooping the CANES put on Notre Douche.... the game was announced by Ara Parseghian and Brent Muffburger, the biggest leprechaun sacksucker ever. and it was great listening to these 2 almost whining and crying

I can tell you that in 1985 there wasn't much negativity with the fan base, the town believed in the program and in Jimmy J. and the team.
Yes JJ got outcoached and the players got outplayed... but it was a great time to be a Cane... there was no internet, no CIS, no bullshiit all optimism.
86 was great but Paterno outcoached JJ and the players shouldn't have walked out of the Fiesta dinner... it may have motivated the shiit out of PSU.
87 was lights out... and swagger was in high gear and we ******* back it up 100%.

Don't know if you think Holtz was the ND coach for that game. Well, he wasn't.

Gerry Faust was the coach, as I recall.

One of the reasons for subsequent ND fans' hatred of UM--as I heard it explained by ND fans--was that Johnson displayed lack of compassion for running up the score on Faust, who was already fired as the coach.

I guess that was the Sugar Bowl game against Tennessee. (Don't feel like looking it up using my phone.)

this game was Faust last game as HC of Notre Douche. Holtz took over the next year.

ND had a QB that was even worse than Rosier and Va Tech was nothing special and almost finished unranked. Winning games does not mean you are prepared. I guess Coker must have been incredibly prepared prior to his 2001 NC run.
 
what do people think would be the result if Miami with Malweak at QB had played the Domers THIS YEAR ?

Just love that lame got their feelings hurt. Didn’t even run up the score that much they just sucked so bad.

Anyone know the all time series record for Miami vs lame? Curios

Yeap, old Johnie Majors put one on his buddy JJ. Then joe pa stole the game films and did the same the next year. Basically rushed three and dropped eight. Forced us the go the distance. As field shortened, Vinny’s long ball advantage was gone and he would throw pick in the crowded field.
