Next year we really need to evaluate NFL assistants and Former NFL coaches. Worked for USC. Worked for Alabama. Worked for Penn State. Might work for ASU. Hopefully is out James is out and We are making a serious run at Highsmith. I have a few names that haven't won championship or even competed but are viable options. Not saying these are the best names but names that we could have a chance of landing.

Assistants

Eric Bieniemy
Kris Richard
Greg Roman
Jim Schwartz

All either worked under great coaches. Have had individual success or successful organizations. Schwartz has former HC credentials.

Fired or Possibly soon to be fired

Ron Rivera always did more with less.
Marvin Lewis Same.
Mike Vrabel Great pedigree and temperament fits with Miami.
Bill Obrien NFL and College HC experience
Kliff Kingsbury Doesn't have a chance in the league but an offensive genius and young.

Gotta start thinking outside the Box. NFL assistants especially minority coaches know that there is only 32 jobs in the NFL. They are hard to come by. Bill Obrien left the Patriots for Penn State performed admirably and earned a NFL HC job. I don't know why more schools don't use that formula to their advantage. Former HCs who still want to coach and yearn for another shot at the league or those like Herm Edwards for the love of the game.

I would think Jay Gruden would be a good head coach at Miami. He was very good at the Orlando Predators for years and worked with a similar talent level as college students. Even though it did not work at the Redskins he is still a good players coach.

Agree with everything you said but this video...

Will be hard to get past. May never be a head coach again.

Eric Mangini Football genius and team builder. Just a prick. Needs another chance.

I'm done with this program if any of these guys are HC, I'll go bandwagon chasing.
Marvin ******* Lewis is too much
Rivera is boderline for me, he never can string 2 good seasons together so he would fit right in here

Lewis is working at ASU right now learning the college game. Supposed to been a big help on the defense for them. 20 years ago but let's not forget the man coached the greatest defense in NFL history. Bengals ownership was extremely cheap and he put together competitive teams for years. He left and they are now one of the worst teams in foot

Who would you take that would even consider it?

For some reason Kris Richard seems like he'd be a good college coach. Can't explain it.

But, he's probably close to an NFL DC position.
