#11 in total defense....what do I make of this?

Would be even better if we didn't go ultra conservative in blow out wins.

Not drinking the kool-aid. I vehemently agree that improvement is noticeable. However, FSU is a big game. We will see how Al does in big games

The opponents offensively sucked really really bad last year. I remember that chart that showed how our defense was consistently the opponent's best day. It's about the exact opposite this year.

It's all about fsu. Keep pointing to stats, and I'll keep pointing to our record and our performance against teams with a pulse. This year, were 0-2 against teams with a pulse and 6-1 against complete dog ****.

It's year 4, and we're playing a shaky fsu team that has been on the verge of losing 4 times to mediocre teams this year. We got them at home and with an extra week to prepare. I don't want to hear any sissy **** about keeping it close. Beat them now, or continue to suck dyck against any good opponents.

Four years in, and if you can't beat this fsu team, you will have proven absolutely nothing other than you can beat a horrible team like UNC more handily than you have in the past. If that's good enough for you, then you're a ******.

It's step up time. Step up, or you've still done nothing.

We might as well be ranked 124th. Improvements do not matter if they do not show up against Quality opponents.

So far, we have played horrendous defense against quality opponents.

Fly The F*cking Banner....

Shows me we are a good enough defense to not play scared against any opponent.. No passive defense and u get those results.. Let's keep playing d like we have faith in our talent defense and have some balls

I agree. I have a bad feeling we go back to pussyass I'm afraid to get beat on the 2 yard defense against FSU.

November 15th will be the defining chapter in Golden's tenure in Coral Gables. I think this game is literally his job. Anything less than a win, and the noise will not be able to be ignored.

Beat FSU.

Shows me what we know about this scheme.

When they play an inferior talent team, they aren't afraid to blitz. That extra pressure has worked well.

When we play a good opponent, they tend to rush 3 or 4, and often 3 of the 4 are run stopping DT types, thus generating no pressure.

Wasn't everyone saying that we weren't going to be aggressive against a UNC offense that hung 43 on ND?

Show me where I said that ever?

UNC was a horrendous team, and have been for a few years now. Miami has played 2 ranked teams: LV, and Neb....and against both played insanely conservatively.

im starting to buy into the tackling argument a little bit, still think the gameplan vs GT and Neb was dogshyt

We blitzed Louisville 48% of the time and Nebraska 56% of the time.
