I seriously don't know what we should do but we need MUCH better special teams

To me it seems like badgley has gotten worse and literally everything in our special teams is terrible

Or just get a ST guy who is a **** of a recruiter. Hopefully he can recruit LBs because Manny ain't cutting it with these slow stiff LBs Diaz likes to recruit that don't even fit his own scheme.

Either special teams coach or a passing game coordinator. I'd love to have a true spread guy mixed in with this group of offensive coaches. Because none of them are modern spread guys. They are learning on the fly (Richt said they travel in off season to visit with spread offenses).

this is such a silly thread. We have one of the top 5 kickers in the country and one of the top 10 punter returners in Berrios. No we don't return kick offs well but we don't give them up either. Our ST is fine . matty1 is the only one with sense in this thread. Yes the punter needs work but he is a true frosh so he will get better.

Laughable. Badgely kicked every one into the end zone yesterday. Yes he missed his first extra point of the season yesterday but also hit a clutch 43 yard fg to put us ahead. We gave up zero yards punt return yesterday and practically none all year,plus we recovered a fumble on a punt too. Our special teams should not be classified as terrible.

Or we go and contact Dan Morgan(who works for the Seahawks) and see if he’s interested in becoming the assistant LB coach/ST coordinator. That way we bring somebody who knows the culture and we have somebody who’s groomed to be the DC once Manny leaves.

We’re 120th in Special teams efficiency, 107th in kick returns, and 90th in punting...I’m glad you think that’s funny

How many times do we get a chance to even return a kickoff? Our one chance yesterday Thomas ran it back to the 38. What is our net punting ave? We have given up a total of 19 yards on punt returns all year. How many tds have we given up on special teams? We are also 7th in the country in punt return average.

BT Pitt is 5th in the country in Punt return average with 2 TDs.

Kicking FG is worse then last year

Doesn't teach his punter techniques

No blocking on punts/kickoffs

gets punt blocked

puts two number 4 on field

Roughing the kicker(easy to teach them not to do it)

The list goes on... Down vote me but im just stating facts

if we could actually block on kickoffs we may be more aggressive taking the ball out of the end zone with elite athletes.

A full time special teams coach could be a nice hire. I suspect a lot of teams would hire one. If not a full time ST coach a LBs coach or OL assistant. I’ve seen a number of programs with two OL coaches.

Everyone stop the chatter about a top OC calling plays. Never gonna happen.
