“This is not a desirable job”

We won't get a good veteran AD on the cheap. Blake was making money and he just got fired. The new AD will know that he must make money AND return Miami football to greatness to keep his job. The latter really isn't much of an incentive to most AD's. We're going to have to start throwing large amounts of money at people

Then on to a coach that could run us around $9 mil.

We are mid tier, we aren’t what most fans think we are. Money isn’t going to make that disappear. It can, but it isn’t at this point in time. Seeing is believing and we have yet to see this university as a whole to put their money where their mouth is. Yes, they’ve said they are going to invest more into the program. Yes, they’ve said they are going to increase the budget by 25 to 30 million. The catch is… it hasn’t happened yet. I don’t necessarily doubt the administration, but until they see otherwise then it’s going to be the same tune. We have said we are committed excellence and national titles forever now, but it’s just been words. It will take time to change that image bc of right now all we have done is talk about it.

It is desirable, but let me tell you: Theres a whole lot of jobs out there that people dont want to do because, although they pay really well, the job in itself is a pain in the ***.

In this case, the reason why its a pain in the *** is cause by a small group of old ******** trying to make a whole lot of noise because they are finally getting their **** kicked in.

I hate this excuse. You know what makes a job desirable: $$$$$

Stop being cheap BOT and open the purse for a real AD, not one from NEW MEXICO because he has Miami ties.

Miami doesn't invest as much as other programs in CFB...that is what makes it not as desirable as many other jobs.

Other things as well...but mostly that.

This job is undesirable until it gets some leadership and vision.

The Epstein socially conscious cult is working overtime to keep us irrelevant.
"Epstein socially conscious cult" WTF does that mean?
UM is a university (****, its in the name), not just the minor leagues for the NFL.

It sure seems like someone is doing all they can to make it an undesirable job with all of the press leaks.

There wasn't money until there was.

The minute U-Health got into the black and profited over $800M the past two years, the job got more "desirable".

Money talks....
