Safeties transition to LBs much better than DEs do. The have similar assignments and reads, who can cover well. They just have to now make those reads from closer to the line, and have to make decisions quicker. DEs just have to beat the guy in front of them, with no reads or instincts...

Without pads or OL coming to knock his head off... The toughest part about making that transition is developing the LB instincts to read the OL (to see if he is coming out to run block or drop into a pass block set) then into the backfield and locate the ball, shed a block and make a tackle or...

The only ones off that list I really liked were Huff, Davis (got bagged), Solomon, and Pierre (****) as true LBs, and we had all except for Davis at one point. Sam Brooks is my favorite of the Rush End tweeners that we have landed with this staff over the years even though we haven’t had luck...

Last cycle was pretty bad for LBs. This year is better, next year should be even better. The thing is we have 4 Sr LBs to sell kids on, and we still aren’t landing the big fish.

I would take Cave, Hyppolite and Flagg over Wingo. Need LBs with instincts for our scheme to replace Shaq and Pink. The rush end tweener LBs work better in a 3-4 as an OLB or viper.

I like him 10 times more than Wingo who some on here claim to be the “best LB in the state” even though kid has never played LB...

Glad someone finally answered that he was injured part of the season. If so, those numbers aren’t bad at all especially knowing he had to play DE some too.

He is faster than Chaney, Fleming and Restrepo? Didn’t know that, if so he is a freak.

Not saying kid isn’t a take at all, just asked a real question if he was injured for any part of last season. His film looks good, but those are highlights, how did he look the rest of the game?

Yes, 68 tackles is weak for a beast MLB. Sorry if that offends anyone, ****. I like his film, but production, especially from the MLB position is very important IMO. Our best ones racked up the tackles in HS. It shows instincts.

No, but Sean Spence did on a stacked MNW team with well over 100 tackles and he was a D1 college athlete unlike myself.

Was he injured his Jr year? 68 tackles is very underwhelming... Cave had about 100 more tackles than him last year. ****, I had 20 more tackles than this kid playing MLB my Sr year and never played a down of college ball.
