If we're not using our full compliment of scholarships anyway, I don't see how keeping Miller on the roster is a detriment to the team.
I distinctly remember when we signed him that posters here were saying he wasn't good. Strange that L would miss so badly on a evaluation. He doesn't often.
I remember a couple of years ago FSU was running 11 deep. I think they got knocked out in the first round of the NCAAT that year.
It's only an issue if there are injuries. An 8 man rotation is perfectly reasonable.
