@caneinorlando with those last two shots would encourage you to try Gusto Fino deli in the gables. Have two sandwiches identical and everyone in our office loves it

We did The Ledbury and it was unbelievable. Every course in tasting menu was tremendous. Also if doing theater district recommend J. Sheeky. Great seafood. London is phenomenal. Loved just grabbing drinks at various hotel bars. City with real class.

Barcelona couldn’t get Tickets as that is what we were trying for. In Madrid did Santceloni which is two stars. Great tasting menu and service. Probably would say top 10 meal but at that tail end. Actual went to this other place where I had suckling pig that was amazing, probably best dish...

Forgot to add in San Sebastián our splurge meal was Arzak which at time I think had two years in a row between top 10 / top 25 on the San Pelligrino world’s best list...well will just say I didn’t agree. Service was actually worst part which in those places was a HUGE surprise. Wish I had gone...

Tried to get to Farmhouse Inn on last trip but couldn’t get reservation. Have a work colleague who LOVES Anderson Valley. It’s funny in the now 8 years I have been going to Napa Valley it has changed noticeably and that’s a short time frame. I think in another 8 years we will see greater...

Yes Del Dotto is known for getting people trashed. Not the place to start a day. Went there on my first trip ever. That place is great for groups.

My favorites / most memorable (as been to about 60 different wineries in total between the two areas): Napa Lail – Great wine. Because of a hookup did the tasting in her personal home. Philippe Melka winemaker Beau Vigne – Was our previous favorite. Yountville tasting room, but did visit in...

Good point on timing. March is actually when we always go now. Like the weather change from South Florida and the fact its not packed. Mustard sometimes in bloom too. Once you seen grapes on a vine, that becomes a lot less important. Rule of thumb (generally), further off the beaten path, better...

Napa has definitely become commercialized. We try and always stick with smaller places that only do private tours (where you are only person there or in your own area), or we select the elevated experiences. There is always the $$$ expectation, but frankly, we are also going to buy wine. For a...

Yes Redd was great, but it closed a year or so ago. I think a notable project was supposed to soon move in, but I might be wrong on that. Only thing that makes RRV/Sonoma a bit tougher is that its a larger land area so have to be a bit more focused (then again in Napa we usually go up into the...

Way I do annual Napa trip now is half the time in RRV/Sonoma and half in Napa (always stay Yountville). Gives you enough vino variety and different experiences. After tasting the longer meals can be tough. While not all timers, simple meals at Ciccio and Bistro Jeanty after a day of tasting...

This OT thread definitely delivers. Some of my favorites from various travels (that all rank on best meals ever): NYC: Marea and Estela on my last trip (though the City has endless options so I rarely repeat, though Crispo is an all time favorite) Paris: Epicure (my top meal ever) London: The...
