Bama vs Gators (SEC Championship) - Game Thread

maybe that's what you felt it should have looked like but even going into the game florida had the talent in the passing game to score on bama... we clearly did not have the talent in the passing game to score on clemson. it's not a question of effort.

it's not fight it's talent. they have the players to score on bama, we didn't have the players to score on UNC. our offense didn't give up in that game, they just weren't good enough.

tbh i'm still curious to see how the brevin vs pitts convo plays out in the NFL. big WR type TEs like njoku and engram haven't translated all that well recently. there aren't guys in college who have the size/speed to stay w/ pitts but that will change in the NFL. i don't think he will be a...

dan mullen was a very successful SEC coach at one of the worst programs in the conference in the much tougher division. it's not much of a stretch to think he'll continue to be really good in the easier division w/ access to way more talent. we passed on him twice which wasn't very smart.

since i posted before the game that i thought this would be a pretty close game, i don't feel like a **** saying this -- UF's passing game has been elite all year, they've shredded every SEC defense they've faced, and saban's defenses have been susceptible in recent years to elite passing teams...

you keep saying that it's relevant but not why it's relevant. teams evaluating alabama QBs post-tua (aka when saban embraced the concept of modern college football) will need to be able to discern the differences between the quarterbacks despite constantly being surrounded by 5 star talent.

well i have no idea what you posted about tua since before the draft. but two guys throwing into the same windows can look different doing so. tua is playing vs NFL defenses every week now, what a different guy is doing on his old college team doesn't seem like very relevant information to me

it's an easy lesson to learn when you have najee harris and an NFL offensive line the way to stop a high scoring offense is to outscore them... manny at least acknowledged that by hiring lashlee. mullen might need to learn it and stop kicking FGs on 4th and 3 from inside the 30 yard line

i think UF will keep this pretty close, i like them to cover and think it could be w/in two touchdowns. florida's offense is elite and has moved the ball well on saban tree defenses already this year, and bama's defense has been shaky at times this year anyway. it's a shootout sport nowadays and...
