Well most teams are. Even the Dodgers were with ****, Joc, Belli, Taylor, Kershaw, Smith etc. Most teams are built on drafts. Houston did it better than anybody. People forget how bad they were for years. They built it draft pick by draft pick.
My point was they didn't win because of the farm system, they won because trades they made worked. Credit to them, I said it at the time they made all their moves, they got better with each move.
He had one good run of about 6 games with the Dodgers, when we needed him most. He fell off quick though. He had a dead arm in the postseason, which is why he missed starts. He is the ultimate competitor though, just use him wisely and he will do fine.
Well no, I just meant it wasn't the farm system. Best example of farm system is in Houston. Most of the guys on Dodgers team are farm grown as well. We have overspent for guys just like this. Kevin Brown is when it all started for us.
Edit, the Dodgers teams were farm grown I should have said...
Crazy money. I couldn't believe he got that much. As a Dodgers fan I saw firsthand him breaking down end of the year. They will have him on an inning count or pitch count more than likely too, which makes this even crazier. Good for Mad Max though, I'm sure he will have his moments with the Mets.
