I tried to figure that out also, went back, listed again. Initially, it sounded like they flipped a WR. But then he later said Barney played the same position so that can't be it. Maybe backflipped means situation completely turned around (i.e. he didn't have an offer till he camped)?

Flo also said folk were going to frame this as a loss for UM, but supposedly the two parties came to mutual agreement here and it looks like he ended up with the Gates. Canes apparently have rolled w/Barney. Could be skills, could be NIL demands, could be a mix. Would be interesting to see...

My initial thoughts is someone met his NIL demands and threw the necessary bags at him. We know from multiple recruits in the last cycle and from the portal, Mario doesn't play that game, so doubt its UM.

Doubt it would be us if he stuck with June 26. Pushing back a few days I don't think will make a material difference in his choice. We'll see what happens in July.
