Like to see Nwoko (because of size) backing up Omier but if he's not ready ...

New Players & Upcoming Trip to France

Omier can shoot. He was under orders last season not to stray much from underneath the hoop as we needed his interior presence and rebounding at both ends. Casey, in the games we saw last season, displayed zero shooting ability. The reports from France on a possible turnaround with his scoring...

That's the best news in the report. Hope it's so.

Another slight "adjustment" Wooga may need to make is that he won't "sneak up" on opponents in terms of their game planning. They now are aware of his talent and will give him more defensive attention.

A heckuva lot more expensive. Plus, American football isn't like hoops. No real opponents to play over there.

Think/hope you are right. Wooga with an improved handle has gotta be a scary thought for opponents. Putting the ball on the floor and driving to the rack .... goes a long way to completing his offensive game. I still like him in the corner (not out front as a PG) because it really helps unclog...

Agree. He's always looked a little stiff on the court. Not sure there's anything to be done about that. As long as he keeps stroking those deep corner jump shots he'll be a major contributor. Best corner scorer here since James Jones.

New Players & Upcoming Trip to France

Not my recollection. I recall he was considered a good "finisher" close in but that his outside shot was still a work in progress. Could be wrong. Anyone know what % he shot on threes back in HS?

New Players & Upcoming Trip to France

To be a legit Stretch 4 you have to be able to shoot, something Casey has yet to show us he is capable of.

New Players & Upcoming Trip to France

If George isn't up to being a "Point Forward," think the big load of PG minutes goes to Bens this season. Not impossible for Bens to make a developmental leap with his offense like Wooga did last year. Bens' shot isn't bad, just inconsistent, so there's always hope. In addition to a more...
