I want no part of UConn. Hopefully, we avoid their bracket.

Exactly, so all this concern about a 4 vs 5 seed or whatever is essentially meaningless.

Exactly. UNC made it to the Championship game as, what, an 8 or 9 seed? What seed was Butler when they went back to back in the Final game? Not to mention UVA as the #1 Tourney seed and losing in a rout to UMBC in the Tourney's first round.

At the time, that was considered a favorable draw for Miami. Nobady gave Loyola much of a chance.

What would the "committee' have done with us had FSUs last shot been an air ball? We'd have won the game but ... still have totally collapsed in the second half against a weak opponent.

    IMO, not really that important.

That's what makes the NCAAT what it is. Pretty much any team could find themselves eliminated at any point. Especially after the first round. Need to be both lucky (in your draws) and good.

The Vols are big and physical but they can't shoot -- bunch of bricklayers from outside. At least in the games I've seen.

Agree. Also, no way of telling whether a 3 seed turns out better for a team than a 5 seed. All about matchups/who you draw.

Think the line has now moved to us being a 1 point favorite (from previously being a 1 point dog a day or so ago). Basically, a pick-em game to the oddsmakers. IMO, VT is talented. Def underachieved this season. Got off to an horrendous start and never really turned that around.

Unless Duke and UNC are ranked 1-2, people think ACC is down. JUst the way it is.

Of the three teams you mention. I'd fear Xavier the most. They have a combo of skilled big men and very nice guards, much like the Kansas team that eliminated us in the Elite Eight. I think Purdue is the least of those teams. Other than Edey, I'm not that impressed (also think the B1G as a...

Is getting a 4-13 game really much better than having a 5-12. Very wide open tourney this year. There will be more "shocking" upsets than ever (which are really NOT upsets). Look at our league -- not one dominant team in the ACC. And, you can say that about pretty much every league. Is Purdue...

Good point. Pack's jump shot is hardly "text book." Not suggesting he should change a thing but it's delivered from a fairly "low" position, like, nose level), and not near the maximum height of his vertical jump. Theoretically, that should make it easier for a defender to block, or alter, the...

Agree. He's not at all like Wong in terms of being able to penetrate to the hoop successfully on any sort of regular basis. Is it just me but I swear Pack seems actually more accurate over this season from what would be an NBA 3 pt distance than from behind the college arc. Am sure that's just...

Who's your one win against? One or two sounds right. Coming from among their two games left with GaTech, and one with ND and BC (both of those on the road).

I see a couple W's coming the Ville's way before this season ends. They only lost to Syracuse by 1 point, lost to Wake by 8, and NCSU in Raleigh by a dozen. Somebody's gonna be looking past them and pay for it.
