Let's build out the rotation for next year

When I was watching the NCAAT I don't really recall seeing many players of any note from Florida High Schools.. (I'm excepting the IMG and Montverde athletic factory types.) There was Nate Laszewski, big man for ND from Jupiter, Hunter Cattoor from Orlando playing for Va Tech, the Polley kid...

    Good athlete, poor shooter.

Let's build out the rotation for next year

Very possible I did jump the gun here! Fingers crossed hoping it is wrong. Curbelo went to Long Island Lutheran so ... I could see why SJU would be a strong possibility. This was my "source." Marc Fiscarelli, "independent basketball writer," who covers the B1G out of Chicago. Tweeted yesterday...

I'd still take him in a heartbeat. True distributing, game-controlling PGs are a rarity.

Let's build out the rotation for next year

Would not like a 3 Guard lineup with both Curbelo and Beverly in it. Those two don't bring enough offensive punch from outside. Substitute a pure shooter for Beverly and I'd be OK with that!

He thinks he's a three point marksman but numbers say otherwise. He CAN run, jump and jam. At 6'9, would love to see him commit more to hitting the offensive glass. Rebounding is about positioning. I'd like to think our staff can clarify his role better (forget the 3 point shooting) and work...

Thought I heard Packer and Durham say that. Maybe he was a nominee?

Let's build out the rotation for next year

Can't disagree but ... I have NOT given up on Walker yet. He came to the game late, iirc, and with more expected from him next season, he may yet rise to the occasion. Anyone notice Walker was voted "Sixth Man of the Year" in the ACC? Guess some others value him a bit more highly than we tend...

Let's build out the rotation for next year

For depth, I think one or both can factor in. Watson has played in the highly competitive Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) and been a standout. Watson actually might be more ready, from what I've read up here in DC, than Aire (who played against him in the very same league). Aire...

Let's build out the rotation for next year

OP, you forgot two other incoming frosh -- Christian Watson (6'6, 195 SF) from Washington, DC St. John's College Prep, and Danilo Jovanovich (6'7, 200 SF), out of Milwaukee. Watson was rated a 4 star last I checked and Jovanovich a 3 star recruit. If nothing else, assuming no RS, they provide...
