I'd say KU demonstrated why you want a good big man playing for you. McCormack was phenomenal. Strong hands and a deft touch inside. Nova got close but this game never felt in doubt from the opening tip.

Older hoops fans from the greater NYC/Tri-State area are well aware of St Peter's. When the previous Madison Square Garden (the one at 50th & 8th Ave) was the mecca of college basketball with regular, sold out college "doubleheaders," St Peter's, along with St John's, Fordham, Manhattan, NYU...

Like Iverson, no conscience when it comes to shot selection. But, like AI as a Hoya, tends to make the "big" shots more often than not.

Notae for Arkansas: 9-29, 2-12 on 3's, 5 TOs and 21 pts. Those are Allen Iverson at Gtown numbers but ... who cares, they won.

Colo State did have three deadly 3 point marksmen. We could use a player or two like that out of the Portal for next season.

Did Aluma, Cattoor and Storm Murphy all come as a transfer "package" from Wofford with Mike Young. That's one way for a HC to stock a roster at his new school I guess.
