    Three names in play for University of Maryland job opening are, in no order, Kevin Willard of Seton Hall, Andy Enfield of USC amd Ed Cooley at Providence. Looks like Kenny Payne is favorite for L'ville job. Georgetown will also almost certainly be looking.

    Yessir, although our weakness on the defensive glass is a big problem that isn't going away. Way too many second and third put-backs. Their three bigs shot 20-30 (66.7%) from the floor.

    Wojo and Collins haven't exactly succeeded at Marquette and Northwestern. Dawkins failed at Stanford, as did Bender at Washington. Snyder had good initial success at Mizzou, as did Amaker at Michigan. Then, they flamed out. Mike Brey has been, by far, the best former Duke Asst.

    Sure hope so. He seemed very happy with Brad Brownell at Clemson with his 208-154 record at Clemson over the past 12 years (going 95-100 in ACC games). 12 years is a long time for only 3 NCAA appearances (one of them way back in his first season). Coach L has gone a more impressive 208-133...

    Certainly appears that way based on his time at Clemson. Even more worrying is that very few will complain about him leaving basketball as it is.

    And the crying shame is that it takes so few (relatively) resources to mount a very competitive, national basketball program as compared with the resources required to get there in football. The commitment is everything.

    I agree but he's got his work cut out for him. Based on what we've seen -- a team that can't shoot, rebound or defend very well.
