Timberlake's uncle said "It just didn't work out." Will need to sit a year now, unless he asks for and gets a waiver. Turns out he had neck surgery last summer.

Timberlake averaging a bit less than 5 ppg, with a very average FG% and poor FT shooting. Might be the most overated DeMatha 4 star product in a long while. Most "experts" had him a star in college and his teammate Hunter ****inson a possible bust. Its been more the other way around.

What prevented Brooks from being more effective for us last year? I know he came on some at the end of the season but ... he was pretty mediocre before that. Not at all what I think most of us had hoped for.

    Canes playing elsewhere

As you said, a pleasant surprise at this stage of his college career.

Actually, Charlie Moore was quite good at DePaul. In 2019-20, he averaged 15.5 ppg, 6.1 apg and 3.5 TOs. Last season at DePaul, he averaged 14.4 ppg, 4.2 apg and 3.3 TOs. Where he has markedly improved at Miami is with his 3 pt shooting. At DePaul, he shot .317 and .346. This season at UM...

In the long run, if he stays, he'll probably be OK. The Yum Center seats 22,000. Lately they've been getting some "crowds" of 7000. That would be fine in Coral Gables but an economic disaster to downtown Louisville. Another key reason why Mack got fired. Reportedly, the Cards will be shooting...

Coming out of High School in Chicago, Moore was the Chicago area POY, averaging 28ppg. Was also named Illinois Mr. Basketball. The type of player we probably had no shot at recruiting back in 2016. This looks to be his best season.

That was his rep coming out of DeMatha. TBH, I wasn't that impressed with his scoring or defense here at Miami.

Porter Moser showing his skills in a big-time conference. A helluva coach, however unglamorous.

He always looked a little slow-footed to me, here and at L'ville. He could/can shoot though. Sorta like a shorter, but better version of Sam.

Very reminiscent of an average Lykes game for UM.

He could, of course, have been asked to play his natural position at the 2. I understand why he was asked to be our 1, but ...

I'm not surprised. Would like to know exactly what led to his leaving. Cross seemed to be thriving here (started 9 games as a true frosh and was shooting 40% on 50 three point attempts). Junior Samuell Williamson was a McD's HSAA and plays Matt's position. Chris Mack also brought in Noah...
