In a quality league, almost always a mistake to expect a lot from true Freshmen. Plus, Sam, R Miller and Beverly are pretty much known quantities. IMO, All players who are limited in what they can do.

McGusty's "good" games are pretty darn productive. Problem is he disappears on the floor for parts of/whole games. Consistency is what he needs. Too many single digit scoring efforts for a scoring-challenged team and a player with his skill set.

I agree although 35% isn't terrible. That's about what Wong shoots too.

I'm not impressed with that roster, even with Wong and McGusty. You've set the bar accordingly low (NIT), though, and that would seem about right in terms of expectations. Is an NIT bid these days really any sort of accomplishment? I'm thinking it just isn't anymore.

I've never seen FSU associated with Miller. Seems to me most of Leonard's bigs have been players from Europe or Africa.

Hundreds of coaches visit Oak Hill, so we don't know from my list of schools (that he had contact with) which ones were serious players. A coach visiting an Oak Hill or IMG probably "talks" with many players during a visit.

Hard to believe now but Miller when at Oak Hill either took visits to, or was visited by coaches from, the following schools: UVa, UConn, Kansas, Wake Forest, Seton Hall, Ga Tech, Cincinnati and Georgetown. Maybe a few others as well. I'm sure that was based on his NYC/Oak Hill pedigree, and...
