Consigliere has a very valid question. Originally, I thought the reason for no waiver request was that Brooks needed "recovery time" from some surgery/injury. That made sense. Then, L plays him on the Italian "tour." Which made that rationale look silly.

The waiver is one thing. Doesn't Brooks have some medical issue? Knee? Thought that was why he was being held out this season.

It's called taking a big gamble. Some pay off, most don't. On big men, especially, Miami Basketball is hardly a "buyer's market." Why I can't fault Coach L for taking a "flyer" on Miller.

Brooks fills a big need. If not this season, next.
