That too. If I were him and not reinstated, I'd stay -- on full scholarship -- to continue enjoying college life at UM and working toward my degree. Would not want to give anyone the satisfaction of even the appearance of running me off. This was posted today -- 18 December -- on the UM...

One one hand, I wouldn't blame him a bit for leaving. He's shown great patience through all this. On the other hand, leaving sort implies some level of guilt. Plus, does he have anything better to do this coming semester? Wonder what his academic standing in relation to a degree is?

That is a good question. Here's another: Who's paying for the attorney? There's no monetary settlement in this for the case to be taken "on spec" and lawyers don't work cheap. Maybe this is why he didn't hire one earlier?

The longer it goes with no word from UM on Dewan's return, the more I'm thinking the Charlie Strauzer tweet might have been wishful thinking? Anyway, still 6 days for them to make his tweet "right."

Withiout Dewan, .500 would have been impossible to achieve. We might well have finished in the league's bottom three teams. With him, it will be difficult to go .500 but ... not impossible.
