    Demographics and football

You are right - I was thinking of Denzel Perryman. The further north they move, the more disconnected from Miami they are. That’s my point.

    Demographics and football

I don’t think you are getting what I’m saying. This change is gradual, over time - I’m talking 10, 20, 30 years out. It’s great that Shaq and Pinckney came back, but that is survivorship bias - how many parents moved away and now have sons at other P5 schools, and how many more times will that...

    Demographics and football

This is kind of my point. The demographic mix is shifting, so you are losing the body types and also cultural factors that make up a great team. I’m stereotyping, but diversity is normally a really good thing in a football team not just from an athletic standpoint, but also...

Page 7, and I think there is significant double counting in AA and Hispanic...

    Demographics and football

Guys, thanks for the thoughts. I’m looking at the long term impacts of this, and perhaps even looking a generation or more away. Full disclosure - I’m Hispanic, and to the last point about “certain races being good at football”, it’s deeper than that. From a height and athletic potential...

    Demographics and football

Wanted to hear some opinions on this. I’m from Miami, born & raised, and I’ve seen it go from 20% Hispanic/20% African American 60% White to now 85% Hispanic, 5% White and 10% African American. Immigration, higher costs of living, cultural friction, gentrification and development are pushing...
